Kansas City Show Schedule Shuffle

Just to help with marking calendars for 2010 spring and summer shows, there's been a shuffle in the Kansas City area and Topeka shows for this year. The Leavenworth/Heart of America Kennel Clubs have switched to March for 2010, and it will be at the new Independence Events Center, right at the intersection of I-70 and I-470 in Independence, MO (ample parking, lots of grass, great hotels, restaurants, shopping nearby). These shows will be four days, March 18 - 21, 2010.

So, here's where it gets confusing, but the four day Manhattan and Topeka Kennel Club shows that are always held mid-August will be (pending according to the AKC website) moving into the same four days that used to be the Leavenworth/HOA shows. So Topeka moves a weekend later in August, and according to the AKC website (pending approval), will be Thursday August 26 through Sunday, August 29, 2010.

What happens to the Capitol City Cluster's old weekend? Well, great news, the Jesse James Kennel Club will be taking the Saturday/Sunday, and holding their weekend of shows August 21-22, 2010.

In a nutshell, the Kansas City/Topeka area are gaining a new weekend of shows, and also filling in the spring with the "revival" of the HOA spring shows:

March 18-21, 2010 Leavenworth/Heart of America Kennel Club shows Independence, MO
August 21-22, 2010 Jesse James Kennel Club shows Topeka, KS
August 26-29, 2010 Topeka/Manhattan Kennel Club Capitol City Cluster Topeka, KS(pending)

Cheri and George Sutton and "Dudley"

At the Greater St. Louis Agility Club agility trial held September 25 through September 27 in Glen Carbon, IL Dudley had five qualifying runs. He qualified in 12" Novice FAST on Saturday and took fourth and 12" Novice JWW on Saturday and took second. He also qualified all three days in 12" Novice Standard to earn his Novice Agility title.
